Let's Read OCPS!

Let’s Read, OCPS!, a district-wide reading challenge, will run from January 26 to April 30, 2026, and aims to encourage students to read for enjoyment and develop a lifelong love of reading by contributing to the district-wide goal of reading 50 million minutes.

Principal, Erin Willis

Hello Lockhart families,

My name is Erin Willis, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Lockhart Elementary School. I’m  incredibly excited to begin this new school year with you and to lead a campus that is deeply committed to putting students first.

At Lockhart, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—and this year, we’re focused on leveling up our learning, our relationships, and our school experience. From academics to enrichment, we’re ready to push ourselves to new heights and celebrate each milestone along the way.

We also know that strong family partnerships are essential to student success. I encourage you to get involved and stay connected—keep an eye out for upcoming family engagement events and opportunities to be part of the vibrant community we’re building together.

Here’s to a joyful year filled with learning, growth, and fun. We can’t wait to get started!
